Art Stroll

The Canal Winchester Art Guild is proud to sponsor its fifth annual “Art Stroll”. The “Stroll” is FREE to the public. Artists will be located in local businesses and studios throughout downtown Canal Winchester, in the Canal Winchester Community Center in at 22 S. Trine St., in tents at Stradley Plaza at 36 S. High Street and across the street in the Pine Room of Shades on the Canal. A wide variety of art and mediums will be displayed including paintings, collage, glass, wood, jewelry, photography, pottery, fiber art and mixed media. A map will be provided at the information booth of where each artist and event will be located.

During the “Stroll” entertainment will be provided at Stradley Park by the Steel Ivory Duo from 2-4 pm, the Yellow Rose Cloggers from 4-6 and Ira Twangs will be strolling through downtown playing his banjo from 6-8 pm. The Quilters on the Canal will feature a quilt exhibition at the Canal Winchester Community Center, 22 Trine Street from 2-8 PM.

The work of Canal Winchester art students will be displayed at the CW Town Hall at the corner of High and Waterloo Streets.  Artists will be demonstrating watercolor and alcohol ink painting in the Pine Room of Shades on the Canal. We also invite the children to paint on New Life Community Church's "Art Wall" next to Stradley Plaza. Make sure you visit Wagon Wheels Winery at 58 E. Waterloo St. for wine sampling and to purchase their special label wine created just for the Stroll.

This year’s Art Stroll competition is entitled “Country Living”. It will feature the works of CW Art Guild members and will be voted on by the public. The competition will be held in the CW Community Center at 22 Trine St., from 2 to 8 PM.

Warren,  Jim Schwartz, Brenda Francis, Patty Sykes, Tina Richards, Trena England, Jake Seabaugh, Mary Nordstrom, Julian Cennamo, Carol Wood, Mats Ahlstrom, Barb Sewall, Molly Graham, John Metcalf, Steve Surgeon, Rebekah Walters, Shannon Bryant and Erin Curnutte, 

Participating studios and host businesses include: Studio 7.5, CW Community Center, Fantasy Cupcakes, CornerSmiths, Robert Warren’s Art Loft, Lynch Retirement Advisors, Chase Bank, Art with Attitude, Mats Ahlstrom Studio, Sticks and Stones Studio, Town Hall, Supreme Realty, Carolyn Sittler Studio, Creatress Studio, Wagon Wheel Wines, Thelma & Louise Photography, and Georgie Emerson Vintage. Artists will also be located in tents in Stradley Park and the Pine Room in Shades Restaurant.
