DESCRIPTION:The City of Canal Winchester is proud to present Safety City\, a one week summer safety program designed for children entering kindergarten.\n\nSafety City offers a one-week introduction to a classroom setting\, easing the transition from parents to teachers for the next school year. Students learn essential safety rules\, including pedestrian and traffic safety\, fire prevention\, school bus safety\, animal safety\, and more. Safety City provides a unique teaching environment with guest speakers who are certified professionals in their respective fields. The program covers diverse safety topics such as electrical safety\, water safety\, playground safety\, bicycling and helmet safety\, seat belt safety\, and stranger danger.\n\nRegistration for Safety City will open in Spring 2025. The program is limited to Canal Winchester residents and individuals residing in Canal Winchester Local School District. Registration will be on a first come\, first served basis and limited to just 50 participants.
