SUMMARY:Graveyard Pete and The New Appalachian Sound
DESCRIPTION:With captivating stories and an award winning blend of folk\, rock\, blues\, and Appalachian roots music\, Graveyard Pete & The New Appalachian Sound is reshaping central Ohio's music culture one stage at a time.\n \n\nThe pieces of melody and poetry that came to Aaron DeYarmon while he worked the midnight shift on long hauls took shape when he began playing live with fellow driver Michael Ulery. As they honed their sound at every coffee shop and bar that would take a chance on their unique style\, a growing network of musicians around Columbus added new flavors to the evolving songs--upright bass\, percussion\, mandolin\, and backing vocals. With the addition of Will Christoffersen on electric lead and Lynde Wangler on violin\, the band's sound took its final form on the stages of central Ohio as a high energy brand of folk-rock with deep roots in the stories and Appalachian music that formed the core of the original duo. The band's lineup consists of Aaron DeYarmon\, Will Christoffersen\, Lynde Wangler\, Rufus Wilson\, and Tony Ludovico.\n \n\nThe band's studio releases have been nationally recognized by the International Singer-Songwriters Association\, the World Songwriting Awards\, and the Who's Hoo Country Music Awards. Following a series of singles\, they released their debut album "Castles in the Sand" in June 2025.
