CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) is a free educational presentation designed to prepare individuals\, businesses\, schools\, churches\, and community organizations to respond effectively to active shooter or active aggressor incidents. Representatives from Fairfield County Sheriff'\;s Office will lead the presentation.
\n\nParticipants will learn how to recognize potential threats\, develop a survival mindset\, and apply the nationally recognized Avoid\, Deny\, Defend principles to increase their chances of surviving a violent critical incident. The presentation also covers what to expect when law enforcement arrives and the importance of emergency preparedness.
\n\nAs part of the training\, participants receive practical instruction on how to properly secure and barricade a room when evacuation is not possible. This includes effective barricading techniques for both inward-opening and outward-opening doors using commonly available items\, as well as strategies to delay or prevent an intruder from gaining entry until law enforcement arrives.
\n\nThis informative and interactive presentation is designed to provide attendees with practical\, life-saving skills and the confidence to make critical decisions during an emergency.
