SUMMARY:Dr. Bender 5K Classic
DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome to participate in this year's Dr. Bender 5K Classic- which will be conducted as a hybrid race.  The in-person 5K race begins at 8:30 am on Saturday\, July 17th at Canal Winchester High School.  The 1-mile Fun Run for children precedes the 5K and begins at 8:00 am.  A virtual event 5K event will also be avialable for those who are not able or choose not to participate in the in-person race.\n\n\n\nAs always\, proceeds from registration and sponsorships from this year's race will directly benefit the boys and girls cross country teams at Canal Winchester High School.\n\nIf choosing the virtual race\, you will run your 5K anywhere that you would like!  Bike paths\, neighborhood routes\, and the like are all great options.  The virtual time frame is July 15-18 to participate in your 5K.\n\nIf you choose the traditional 5K Bender route\, we encourage you to download the Race Joy app if you plan to run or walk your route with your phone.  This app will track your time\, alert you when you complete the race\, and also provides cheers and helpful tips along the way.\n\n\n\nShare your race photos on social media with the hashtag #drbender5k.
