\nThe Canal Winchester Chamber is thrilled to join forces with \;Canal Winchester Human Services \;for a fun\, unique volunteer happy hour--with a twist! Join them \;for their \;"\;Brews &\; Blankets Challenge"\; at \;BrewDog DogTap Columbus \;on Thursday\, December 7th from 3:30PM - 6:30PM to make fleece blankets for the CWHS Adopt-A-Family holiday program.
The project is fun and simple-- you don'\;t have to be crafty or know how to sew! Your $15 registration fee includes one blanket kit and supplies. Our friends at My Very Own Blanket will be on site and have everything set up for a full crafting takeover at the brewery! Additional blanket kits may be purchased if you'\;d like to make more than one blanket\, or donate a sponsored blanket for CW Human Services'\; Adopt a Family program- all unfinished kits will be made on site the day of\, and donated on your behalf.
\n\nMy Very Own Blanket\, located out of Westerville is an organization dedicated to warming the heart of every child in the foster care system and other children in need with a blanket\, to give them a feeling of comfort\, security and most of all\, a SMILE! Handmade blankets are created through the loving care of volunteers\, and distributed to foster youth not just throughout Ohio\, but all over the country.
